Man United staff receive Christmas gifts from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

As reported by the Daily Mail, Man United staff have received Christmas gifts from former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After receiving Christmas gifts, Manchester United team members have become ’emotional.’

The Glazers fired the Norwegian last month after he oversaw a disastrous start to the season. Ralf Rangnick has been brought in as an interim replacement to steady the sinking ship, and the German has won two of his first three matches at the helm.

Solskjaer was a fan favorite at United, notably after scoring the game-winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final. Following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal in December 2018, the 48-year-old was appointed manager of the Red Devils after impressing during a brief stint in charge.

Under Solskjaer, United made steady development for two years. During the Norwegian’s two full seasons in charge, they finished second and third, respectively, and reached the Europa League final last season.

Despite recruiting players such as Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer, Solskjaer was unable to get the best out of his squad.

He was fired by the Glazers and Ed Woodward last month, less than 24 hours after a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road.

Solskjaer was overcome with emotion as he left Carrington for the final time.
