After a rather emphatic embarrassment on Thursday night, Erik ten Hag and his Manchester United squad must get back on the horse for Sunday’s clash with Premier League title contenders Liverpool at Old Trafford.
With a large group of players sidelined by injury, Ten Hag will have to mastermind a display akin to United’s FA Cup beating of the Reds last month to inject some fresh life into their campaign.
Andre Onana will be expected to start at the back. Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka would keep their places on the flanks. Mason Mount would start again alongside Casemiro in midfield.
Centre-backs Willy Kambwala and Harry Maguire will be guarding the central line behind the midfield.
Bruno Fernandes will captain the side from the attacking midfield position.
Mason Mount would start after coming from the bench against Chelsea alongside young Kobbie Mainoo in midfield.
Antony and Alejandro Garnacho will start from the wings. Rasmus Hojlund will complete the attacking trio upfront.
