A bidding way could be set for the next summer’s transfer window between the two Manchester giants with Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland the subject of much attention from England’s top flight bigwigs.
Haaland has his future at Dortmund the topic of a great deal of uncertainty beyond this summer in which he failed to secure a move away from Germany as Chelsea pushed for a deal to sign him.
Dortmund remained firm on the pricing front which meant that Chelsea had to look at alternative names in the market which ultimately led to the big-money signing of Inter Milan star striker Romelu Lukaku.
With the Blues now out of the picture for Halaand’s coveted signature, reports from Sport 1 have suggested that Manchester United and Manchester City will be in the fray for the 21-year-old Norway international attacker who seeks a move to the Premier League.
United have added superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to the Old Trafford roster this summer but with the Portuguese nearing the age of 37, Haaland will be the man for the future in the Red Devils shirt.
