As United continued their season, hoping for revival they faced off with the tough Burnley side needing a response to save their fading season.
While United are in the push for a place in the top four, Burnley are aiming to escape the drop as the season continues to unfold.
It was a test match for the Red Devils who welcomed Sean Dyches and his organized troops at home even as we envisaged a frenetic turn around in the contest.
It however would be the story as Manchester United lost 0-2 at home to Burnley visitors.
Following the home lost to the traveling side, we evaluate the
significant point from the game.
Rashford Absence Made Obvious
The Red Devils failed to find the breakthrough goal they wanted, as they were held down by Burnley. The visitors scored in each half to condemn United to another home defeat.
This would be two defeat in a row as they lost by the same score line (2-0) to Liverpool. This may well means that Old Gunnar Solskjaer and his side are missing their injured hit man – Marcus Rashford as they couldn’t find the net at home.
United needs to deal with it, thus making a move in the ongoing transfer market as the case may be.
Missed Advantage For Manchester United
Manchester United were unable to take advantage based on the point proceedings as they aimed a dig at Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side in fourth position.
This was a big opportunity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s man who are six points adrift going into the match to cut it into three points against Chelsea.
But defeat at home against Sean Dyches men, such hope may have been dented in relation to the Red Devils leapfrogging Chelsea on the League standings as Solskjaer’s and his side remains gutted and perplexed after the loss.
Burnley On The Rise
Burnley win against Manchester United offered them the possibility of a well placed finish at the end of the season as regards to their previous position which looked like they will crash in the Premier League through relegation.
The club are on the rise as we seen they are now 13th position in the League following their 0-2 away win at Burnley.
This is the big feat Burnley have done as they brightened their season with a positive result against Manchester United away from home.
