This 6-goal thriller had everything that a football fan could ask for right from stunning goals to some last-minute drama in the bag. Manchester United looked like they were in cruise control of the match at the end of the first half when they had secured a two-goal lead with the lion’s share of the chances already falling their way.
It can also be said that both goalkeepers didn’t have their best night in between the posts as they gifted their opponents with one goal each.

Manchester United took time to get into their stride as has become their habit now but they were the ones who drew first blood when Rashford set things up on a plate for Cavani with his header finding the back of the net.
Bruno Fernandes doubled the lead in the 49th minute while scoring one of his best goals in recent times with respect to the technique and presence of mind that was required for this one. The perfect chip and dip over the keeper saw Manchester United making it 2-0
Manchester United had controlled proceedings in most of the first half and it looked like they could inflict further damage judging by their recent form but Everton was in no mood for surrendering on the night.
Within just 10 minutes of the restart, Everton has already managed to equalise with goals from Dourcoure and Rodriguez in the 49th and 52 minutes respectively.
The match blew wide open and after some time Everton started to sit back in their shell and tried to defend with all their might but Scot McTominay had other ideas as his header found the back of the net in the 70th minute. This was again another mistake by Everton’s rookie keeper and Manchester United had thought that they had seen the game out. Everton gave it their all and came up with some pretty good chances in the later minutes of the second half.
A shot from Digne just deflected past De Gea’s near post. When all was thought to be won and the three points secured for the Red Devils, Dominic Calvert Lewin scored with what was the last meaningful kick of the game.
