Manchester United have been advised to consider signing Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi as a valuable addition to Erik ten Hag’s defensive lineup.
The Red Devils have been dealing with an ongoing injury problem, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane frequently sidelined.
This situation has required Ten Hag to rely on substitute defenders such as Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, and Jonny Evans.
Given their injury issues, there is a call for United to actively pursue new signings in the upcoming January transfer window, with Guehi being suggested as a prime target.
Former United star Paul Parker while talking to Spilxperten said:
“From a Manchester United perspective, I would probably rather sign Marc Guehi. He is a really good stopper, and I would choose him over Joachim Andersen because he is four years younger.”
“He is only 23 years old, and he plays in the English national team. If Manchester United buy Guehi, he would be the best stopper at the club.”
“Guehi is such a smart player, and he would be a great addition to the squad. I would definitely advise Manchester United to go out and do some shopping at Crystal Palace.”
Guehi, who moved to Crystal Palace from Chelsea in 2021, has been an outstanding addition, amassing five goals and one assist in 91 appearances for the club.
Additionally, he has made six appearances for the England national team, and his injury-free record since his time at Swansea could be a valuable asset for United.

The Red Devils are considering other options as well, including Portuguese talents Goncalo Ignacio and Antonio Silva, who have been mentioned as potential targets on their list.
Any centre-back that they sign should have a strong fitness record considering the fact that they have a lot of defenders who are prone to frequent injuries. Selling some of their current options could also help them add more players to their roster.
