According to The Athletic, Manchester United have reached a deal with Atalanta to sign Rasmus Hojlund. The young forward is the club’s top target for the number nine position, and negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing for the past few weeks.
Both Paris Saint-Germain and United are interested in signing Hojlund. However, the young striker reportedly prefers a move to Old Trafford.
After agreeing on personal terms with the Danish international, the Red Devils made an initial offer of €60 million. However, Atalanta swiftly rejected the offer.
After facing resistance from Atalanta on their initial bid, United increased their offer to secure Hojlund’s signing. The final deal is worth €75 million, with an additional €10 million in add-ons.

The 20-year-old will become United’s third summer signing, joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana in their ranks.
Having had an impressive breakthrough season, where he scored ten goals in all competitions, the young striker now aims to make a significant impact at Old Trafford following his dream move.

Atalanta, who bought Hojlund from Sturm Graz for €17.2 million just a year ago, is now set to make a substantial profit from the striker’s transfer.
The Italian outfit have already found a replacement for Hojlund by signing El Bilal Toure from Almeria for a club-record fee of €30 million. United’s focus is now on securing a new midfielder.
Sofyan Amrabat has been strongly linked with a move to United, but any potential deal for the 26-year-old could be contingent on the departures of Fred and Donny van de Beek.
