Arsenal and Manchester United are two teams keeping tabs on Sivert Mannsverk, according to a report from the French publication Jeunes Footeux.
The 20-year-old Norwegian who is climbing the ranks is little known outside of Europe. Sivert Mannsverk is an Ovre Ardal native who graduated from the Sogndal IL youth division after attending the IL Jotun and IL Ardalstangen schools. But since joining Molde last year, he has become more well-known.
The Norwegian midfield star had a successful 2022–23 season and is now a key player for Molde. In 40 appearances across all competitions, Mannsverk has contributed four goals. The player’s development has also caught the attention of United and Arsenal, two powerhouses in the Premier League.
To land the sensational Norwegian midfielder, Arsenal will have to beat out tough opposition from the Red Devils. United is unable to make many signings in January due to its financial difficulties. Enzo Fernandez, a primary target, is also enthusiastic about joining Chelsea this winter.
The 20-year-old is an economical alternative, especially with Molde expected to seek €10 million for Mannsverk. Given the positive relationship United has with the Norwegian team, a January transfer may be feasible.
The midfield sensation from Norway will cost €10 million, making it the most expensive sale in Molde’s history. It will also be intriguing to see whether Arsenal and United are prepared to spend that much money in January.
The young player has so far shown himself to be a viable option for both Premier League clubs.
