Manchester United and Liverpool fans to pay tribute to Ronaldo’s son

The Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United and Liverpool fans will pay tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo’s newborn son with a minute of applause in the seventh minute of the game between the two sides.

It will be such a kind gesture from the fans who are all deeply saddened by the tragic loss of the striker’s newborn son. Cristiano Ronaldo had confirmed the news via his social media that he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have given birth to a daughter but couldn’t save the son.

The striker demanded privacy at this moment as he wants to spend time with his family. He will be unavailable to play against Liverpool but will certainly be overwhelmed to see such a kind gesture from the fans of both the clubs.

Fans, teammates, and others have expressed their condolences to the Portuguese international on social media. Liverpool fans had first come out with the idea to keep the rivalries aside and offer condolence to the player by joining together for a minute.

The 37-year-old United star announced in October 2021 that he and his 28-year-old partner Georgina Rodriguez were expecting twins.

The couple’s statement described the death of their newborn boy as “the greatest pain any parent can feel,” but said that their baby girl had survived.

The baby girl is the ray of hope for them at these difficult times.
