Manchester United Prepare Bid To Sign Sean Longstaff

The latest reports have claimed that Premier League giants Manchester United are in the midst of preparing a bid for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils finished sixth on the Premier League table and will not be eligible to play Champions League football next season. There are rumors floating around Old Trafford that French midfielder and Untied talisman Paul Pogba could be on his way out of the club this summer in order to play for Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old World Cup winner is set to force a move out of United to play for his dream club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a suitable replacement in the center of the park. The Norwegian has already snapped up deals for Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka this summer but the spending spree is not going to stop just yet.

United have now turned their attention towards Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff who caught the eye of Solskjaer last season. The 21-year-old scored two goals in 11 appearances for the Magpies before an unfortunate knee injury cut short his season back in March.

Longstaff came through Newcastle’s academy and the club is desperate to keep hold of the promising young superstar but will have a difficult time as Manchester Untied are snooping around the Englishman.

Reports claim that United are preparing a £30 million transfer bid to secure the services of Longstaff this summer. However, Newcastle is not willing to part ways with their gem unless a £50 million offer is on the table.

Longstaff signed a new contract extension with Newcastle United back in December which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.
