According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are nearing a deal to sign Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana.
The Red Devils have been engaged in negotiations for the 27-year-old over the past two weeks, and an agreement is on the verge of being finalized.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that United are close to reaching an agreement on the transfer fee with Inter. The club is prepared to meet Inter’s demand of €52 million.
Once the deal between United and Inter Milan is finalized, Onana will travel to Manchester to complete the necessary formalities.
The timing of his trip will depend on how quickly the clubs resolve the payment terms for the transfer fee. It is expected that Onana could make the journey on either Sunday or Monday.

Onana has already reached an agreement on personal terms with United, so the deal is now just a matter of being made official.
Erik ten Hag, who previously coached Onana at Ajax, has maintained regular communication with the goalkeeper. There was a phone call between them recently to provide reassurance.
United are set to face Lyon in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday in Edinburgh, and Ten Hag may want Onana to be involved in some capacity during the match.
While the keeper may not start the game, he could be given valuable minutes in the second half if he has had a training session beforehand.
In order for this to happen, the Milan star needs to complete his medical examination and sign his contract as soon as possible.
United have a busy pre-season schedule ahead, including matches against Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund in the United States. These games will serve as a perfect test for the team.

Onana is already familiar with Ten Hag’s playing style from their time together at Ajax, but he will need time to establish cohesion with the back four.
The upcoming friendlies should provide an ideal opportunity for him to prepare and adjust to his new team.
