According to the Manchester Evening News, English giants Manchester United are confident that they will be given the chance to participate in UEFA’s European competitions next season.
Recent reports have mentioned that INEOS’ multi-club ownership would ban them from participating in the world’s most prestigious competitions.
The Billionaire group also owns Ligue 1 club OGC Nice. The French side are likely to qualify for the Europa League next season.
As per recent reports, UEFA have formed an outline mentioning the impact of multi-club ownership and how to deal with the same.
It was expected that they would go after Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS since they own two clubs. Hence, either of these two can get disqualified if in case they both make it to UEFA’s competitions.

Looking at the present scenario, Man United and Nice are highly likely to secure their place in the Europa League.
However, the current rules state that the team with a higher position will be given the upper hand. Hence, Nice who are placed at the first position in the league will be given the nod ahead of United.
Ratcliffe’s INEOS need to convince UEFA that there is enough difference between the two clubs
INEOS must prove to UEFA that there is enough separation between the two clubs to compete in the same European competition and they have until June 3 to provide this evidence to the governing body.
The Ratcliffe group are confident that they convince them regarding the same and they would avoid any conflicts after acquiring a 27.7% stake in the PL giants.
UEFA outlined the rationale for its decision to allow clubs to participate, including significant shareholding reductions, changes to club finances and board representation.
