Manchester United to be offered Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva for as less than £30 million.
Frankfurt needs urgent funds to make a move for former veteran star Jovic and they need to sell players in order to buy him permanently from Real Madrid. Super agent Jorge Mendis has made plans for quickly making up funds and hence require them to sell Silva to other clubs
Premier League clubs have targeted Silva for quite a long time and it will be interesting to see how this transfer unfolds. One team that most notably could walk in for the player is Manchester United. Edinson Cavani has been moving into his final three months of his contract.
So far Cavani has scored 6 goals in 18 appearances for the club but recent injuries have hindered his regular gameplay. At this point, it will be questionable for United if they keep paying up funds for the striker and the striker keeps staying in the injury room. Bringing in a young striker will pay dividends for the club.
Andre Silva has been in fine form for Frankfurt this season, scoring 18 goals and 2 assist in 20 appearances for the German team. Andre Silva was earlier targeted by many PL clubs but was transferred from Porto to AC Milan and then loan switches to Sevilla and Frankfurt, later signing for Frankfurt permanently.
Frankfurt has been largely running behind Jovic’s signature since the star man has been quite unsettled at the Spanish capital after his £51 million move. He had scored 36 goals for Frankfurt in his past two seasons. The need of the hour is funding to buy him back.
United will be worried if Cavani doesn’t get back on his earlier form and considering the age of the player, they will most likely resist offering him a new contract next season and rather use these funds for a more young dynamic striker.
