Manchester United are said to be determined to retain Cristiano Ronaldo beyond this summer’s window despite the 37-year-old pushing for an exit from the Old Trafford fold.
Missing out on Champions League football for the upcoming season has hit Ronaldo hard and has sparked off intense speculation over the player’s future with the Red Devils with some of Europe’s biggest clubs put on high alert.
According to a report from Manchester Evening News, however, United remain committed to keeping Cristiano Ronaldo heading into the new campaign despite free agent Paulo Dybala’s name being linked with a move to Eric tan Heg’s side.
Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes is understood to have opened talks with new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over a potential switch to west London with German giants Bayern Munich also credited with an interest in prizing away Ronaldo from the Premier League.
Should the Portuguese forward head out the exit door, Dybala will be reckoned as a viable replacement for his former Juventus teammate with the new head coach Ten Hag likely to line up a quality replacement to bolster his attacking roster.
