According to Italian cover Tuttosport, Manchester United are targeting Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have failed to live up to the expectations under Erik ten Hag this season. The gaffer was unable to help his side reach the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.
The club’s performance in the Premier League has been rather underwhelming. Although they started this year on a bright note, they are already behind fourth placed Aston Villa by an eight points margin.
Tuttosport has now claimed that the English giants are targeting Inter manager Inzaghi, if in case they get rid of Ten Hag before the start of the new season.

Man City coach Pep Guardiola praised the 52-year-old by claiming that he currently has the second best team in the world.
Inter will be favourites to lift the Serie A title this season as they are currently leading the table with a nine points different with second placed Juventus with a game in hand.
Inzaghi has the pedigree to succeed in the Premier League after showing his worth in Italy.
Ten Hag’s chances of staying at Old Trafford depends on Sir Jim Ratcliffe
The manager has openly claimed that he shares a common ambition with INEOS chief Ratcliffe. However, the British billionaire didn’t place any guarantee on Ten Hag’s future at the club.
Although the club is likely to renew his services for another season, a lot of depends upon how the club fares in the next few months.
The Dutchman needs to ensure that his team grabs the UCL spot this season. This could help the new management to attract quality players in the transfer window.
