Manchester United enter the race to sign Ricardo Pepi

As reported by Mirror, Premier League giants Manchester United have joined the race to sign Ricardo Pepi from FC Dallas. The Major League soccer team has been harbouring one of the most brightest American talents in the game.

The 18-year-old striker has taken the league by storm and has already netted 13 goals in 28 appearances for his club. His marvellous progress has also earned him an international call last month.

He didn’t stop scoring for his country as well and recently scored for America against Honduras. So far he has scored three goals in just four appearances at the International level.

FC Dallas are ready to accept deals for the Ricardo Pepi and are expecting a fee of around £10m for their prized asset. Teams like Brentford, Brighton, Liverpool and now Manchester United are interested in signing Pepi who has the potential to reach the highest level.

The world of football has now changed because of the team’s efforts in giving chances for their youth players to make the cut. From scouting extensively to recruiting high potential young players, teams have been now targeting MLS as well for buying cheaper top-class players.

A similar example is Alphonso Davies who was signed by Bayern Munich from Vancouver Whitecaps way back in 2018. Since then the versatile attacker has been a regular for the German side.
