Manchester United is apparently in the running to sign promising Brazilian talent Vitor Roque.
According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, United must move quickly to secure the young player’s services since PSG is ready to launch a move for the wonderkid.
Although his contract includes a €60 million release clause, it’s uncertain whether Athletico would settle for less for their prized asset. Given his impressive progress, it is not surprising that teams like United and PSG are interested in signing him. Erik ten Hag will need to move quickly in order to lure the South American wonder to Old Trafford.
The Athletico sensation is reportedly on the Red Devils’ radar this month, and what an exciting addition he would be to Ten Hag’s squad. The 17-year-old, who can play on either wing or as a center-forward, has made 52 senior appearances and amassed a respectable 13 goals and four assists.
He is physically strong and has a wealth of pace and technical ability. In addition, Roque exhibits the typical South American grit, which is what makes him such a well-rounded athlete.
It should be emphasised that €60 million is a significant sum of money for a Premier League player who is so young and unproven. But for United, Roque would be worth that cost. The question is whether the Red Devils can sign him before PSG.
