Manchester United Eye Paulo Dybala Following Ten Hag’s Request

According to Il Messaggero, Manchester United is gaining an interest in the possibility of signing striker Paulo Dybala from Roma following a specific request from manager Erik ten Hag.

Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna seems to be his priority target among the forwards, however, he is yet to decide on that in future.

So, in the midst of all this, Il Messaggero, via TuttoMercatoWeb, states that United’s interest in the Argentine is firming up with a deal.

The Argentinean star will see his deal expire in one year and reports show his release clause was set at £10 million, valid from July.

Reportedly, this has the Red Devils looking to snap him up under Ten Hag’s specific request.

Paulo Dybala

Dybala was always more of a second striker who did well on the rare occasion he was employed down the right wing at Roma.

The World Cup winner tallied 16 goals and set up another 10 across all competitions in the just-ended campaign, where he missed 10 games due to some injuries.

His attacking versatility is what makes him indispensable.

Dybala at the said price would be a very value-for-money signing. His wages also will not be a pinch at Manchester United, at £114,000 per week.

In comparison to today’s already inflated market, £10 million for a forward like Dybala seems such a steal.

He can both score and create wonderful goals, making Manchester United’s creative options much better off.

The issue at hand is still whether Dybala would give a thought to come to the English giants.

Dybala is the pivotal force for Roma, one of the most influential players out there, and it would thus not be surprising if Giallorossi do everything in their power to make him stay with a new contract on a long-term basis.

His performance on and off the field has been key to Roma, and losing him would be a serious blow.

Paulo Dybala

The acquisition of Dybala would probably be a signal from United that the rebuilding task is on and they will find past glories once again under Ten Hag.

His creativity, vision, and goal-scoring would match the other attacking talents of United and provide Ten Hag with more tactical flexibility.

Dybala’s experience from Serie A and international matches would offer great leadership and mentorship to the young United players.

This might also play a role in attracting more top talent to join Old Trafford; therefore, boosting the ambition of United to compete at the top level once again.
