Manchester United FC given price-tag for Jack Grealish

Manchester United FC manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly been told that he would have to pay a sum of £80 million if he wishes of landing his top-target Jack Grealish this summer.

Grealish, who plays for Premier League side Aston Villa FC, has been linked constantly with a move away from Villa Park since last summer, with Old Trafford considered to be the player’s preferred destination. The Red Devils have been reported to be long-term admirers of Grealish, who has been the star player for Aston Villa FC for the past couple of seasons and had captained the side through their promotion to the Premier League last year.

The addition of Grealish to the Manchester United FC squad would be a huge boost to the inconsistent Red Devils side which has struggled to find a suitable midfield pairing alongside new signing Burno Fernandes.

Grealish has proved himself to be one of the most talented attacking midfielders in England in recent seasons and has shown brilliance while playing as a winger too. Despite Aston Villa FC languishing in the Premier League’s relegation zone and are in grave danger of heading back to the Championship, Grealish’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by the top Premier League sides vying for his signature.

A fee of £80 million which is being asked by Aston Villa FC from the Red Devils FC is certainly a huge amount of money, especially considering the current condition of the transfer market and shortfall in team’s income due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

But Solskjaer would want to wrap up Grealish’s signing ahead of next season’s start to avoid losing out the Aston Villa FC captain to other sides wanting to sign the midfielder.

Grealish would present himself as an ideal midfield partner to Bruno Fernandes and the duo could take the current Manchester United FC squad to great heights if their pairing clicks together.

It is true that Aston Villa FC have not completely lost hope on keeping their skipper Grealish beyond the end of the 2019-20 Premier League campaign.

However, Villa manager Dean Smith has admitted that if the side are relegated to the Championship, retaining Grealish at the club would be a huge difficulty. The 24-year old player has stated that he wants to play European football very soon and desires of getting his first cap as an English national team player.
