Manchester United FC faces Tottenham Hotspurs on 19th June, in what would be the first encounter for both sides in the Premier League since March. With both teams vying for a Champions League spot, the game is bound to be a thrilling fixture.
The match will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Both sides had recorded varied sets of results before the suspension of football in March. While the Red Devils had been unbeaten in 11 games, Jose Mourinho’s side had failed to notch a win in six fixtures.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United FC side is fifth in the Premier League table. With just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea FC, a win against Tottenham Hotspurs would do wonders for the Red Devils. A Champions League spot for next season is essential at Old Trafford and Solskjaer would be hoping to achieve the same.
Former Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho, now in charge of Tottenham, has enjoyed mixed fortunes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With his side eighth in the league table, and seven points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea FC, there is still optimism among the Spurs fans.

TEAM NEWS
Star players Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba will be both be available for selection following their recent recoveries.
Rashford had been expected to be sidelined for a significant period. The was even expected to miss the UEFA Euros 2020, however, with the shifting in the football calendar, the English international has recovered in time.
Pogba’s inclusion in the starting lineup is extremely doubtful. Solskjaer would be eager on fielding the duo of Fred and Bruno Fernandes as he had done before the lockdown period. Both the midfielders have excelled in their respective roles and are not expected to be dropped in favour of Pogba.
Solskjaer confirmed in his pre-match press conference that centre-backs Phil Jones and Alex Tunzabe are set to miss Friday night’s fixture against Spurs.
For the Spurs fans, the returning Harry Kane’s availability would be a massive relief. The England national team captain has missed most of Tottenham Hotspur’s current season. Kane will assume his striking duties upfront for Jose Mourinho’s side.
However, attacking midfielder Dele Alli would serve a suspension for the upcoming fixture and thus won’t be featuring against the Red Devils.
Alli had been reprimanded by the FA and was given a one-match ban due to the player making a racist remark recently.
Argentine midfielder Giovani Lo Celso was not a part of team training sessions held earlier this week. As a result, Lo Celso may not feature against Manchester United FC.
