According to Corriere di Bologna, Manchester United have started showing more interest in Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee.
The 23-year-old has been on the Red Devil’s wish list this summer but they are yet to offer a concrete proposal for the Serie A star.
Zirkzee is playing for the Netherlands in the ongoing Euros 2024 amid uncertainty looming over his future.
Bologna are ready to listen to offers for the youngster but they might be forced to let him leave for a mediocre fee due to his release clause.
Man United will be able to land the forward for just £33 million but they need to wait till the end of June to activate this clause.
Bologna won’t be able to keep a hold on this transfer move since any club can meet his release clause.

The club’s president, Giovanni Satori, has already declared that there is a 99% chance the Zirkzee will be sold in the following months.
It is also said that the Dutch ace is excited by the prospect of working under new assistant coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
United are ready to offer the attacker £3.5m per year and this might be enough to entice the player to move to Old Trafford.
AC Milan were also well-placed in this transfer race but then moved out of the deal due to Zirkzee’s agent’s sizeable commission fees.
It is a clear path for the Red Devils and they will be looking forward to getting this deal done quickly.
They have other targets to look out for such as Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt, Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.

In our opinion, Zirkzee will be a quality young addition and he has shown his worth in the Italian league by scoring 12 goals in all competitions.
His attacking prowess helped Bologna finish in fifth place in the Serie A table and secure a spot in the Champions League.
The Dutch ace will provide depth to our attacking unit and his solid aerial presence will help Erik ten Hag’s side to play a different strategy when needed.
However, it remains to be seen whether other clubs join this race and make it a tough battle.
