According to The Telegraph’s Matt Law, Manchester United have arranged a medical examination for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount on Monday.
The Red Devils reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of the England international, with the deal valued at £60 million. The Blues have given Mount permission to undergo the required medical procedures as part of the transfer process.
While currently enjoying his summer break, Mount is reportedly scheduled to join United’s Training Centre on Monday to undergo a medical examination. Following the successful completion of the medical, the 24-year-old midfielder is anticipated to finalize a long-term contract with the club.
The proposed agreement is expected to span five years, with the possibility of extending it by an additional 12 months. It is believed that Mount will receive a weekly salary of £250,000 as part of his contract with United.

United have been relatively slow in their transfer dealings this summer, adhering to their approach of focusing on one deal at a time. The completion of the Mount transfer will bring joy to United fans, but the club’s management now needs to accelerate negotiations for other targeted players.
The immediate priority for United is securing the services of Andre Onana. It is anticipated that a formal bid will be submitted soon, and the club hopes to reach a swift agreement.
In addition to a goalkeeper, the Red Devils are also looking to bolster their squad with a new striker and a central defender.
With a restricted budget of £120 million, United must also consider offers for players they are willing to sell in order to generate funds for further signings.
