Manchester United can sign Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries for just €50 million in the ongoing January window.
The 25-year-old right-back has reportedly already been in negotiations to join United, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Erik ten Hag wants to bring in a top-tier right-back to properly compete with and cover for Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford. And there’s little doubt that Dumfries would be a big improvement over Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Ten Hag is reportedly going to need to pay €50 million (£44 million) to bring his fellow Dutchman to Old Trafford this summer. The cost to sign Dumfries will be around €40 million (£35 million), or if the United manager is prepared to wait until the summer.
However, Ten Hag should make a move as quickly as possible because it is a fair deal to pay such an amount for Dumfries. The 42-cap Netherlands international is strong, pacy, and has a plethora of energy and stamina.
He should be perfectly suited to the physicality of the Premier League given his strong physique and resilient character.
He showed at the 2022 World Cup how effective he is in huge games at both ends of the field.
The Dutchman has scored seven goals and dished out 10 assists in 68 games for Inter, which are amazing numbers for a right-back.
He plays at a very high level. United should not hesitate to complete the move if they can get Dumfries for €50 million in January.
