Manchester United have the perfect chance to sign RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo

According to renowned journalist Christian Falk, Manchester United have the chance to sign RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo for between €70 and €75 million this summer.

This month, the Red Devils haven’t done anything to bolster their attacking unit. Only Wout Weghorst and Jack Butland have been signed on a loan basis.

Manager Erik ten Hag might have to wait until the summer to sign high-profile targets because of a potential takeover. Olmo is reportedly on their radar right now. United is one of the teams interested in the Spanish international, and recent reports claim they will get a boost in their pursuit of signing Olmo at the end of the season.

In the upcoming days, the 24-year-old is expected to sign a new contract with Leipzig. There are two separate release clauses included in the new deal.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will be able to sign him for €60 million, while United and other foreign teams will need to spend €70 to €75 million.

The Red Devils would be capable of splashing that particular sum. Over the past 18 months, Olmo has struggled with injuries, but when available, he has been an important player for Leipzig in the final third.

He has played the left flank, right wing, or number 10 position this season. In just 16 games, he has helped the German team score 10 goals. United has not yet taken any official action to sign the player. Before making a move, they ought to evaluate his condition and performance for the remainder of the campaign.

Although the team is most likely to sign a star striker to replace Ten Hag, Bruno Fernandes may have little competition due to a lack of attacking midfielders in the squad. Currently, Fernandes is practically impossible to drop. Early in the season, Donny van de Beek, who is out injured for the whole campaign, performed rather poorly in the number 10 position.

He could be sold, and the Red Devils will be able to use that sum to sign Olmo next summer.
