According to the Sun, Manchester United and Napoli midfielder, Fabian Ruiz’s agent are currently in negotiations for a summer transfer. It now appears that the Red Devils are moving quickly to sign the 15-cap Spain international.
Napoli estimates his worth at roughly €45 million (£38 million), but given that he only has a year left on his current deal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, the Italian club is unlikely to receive anything close to that sum.
Erik ten Hag needs to make the most improvements in central midfield at Old Trafford this summer. Additionally, Ruiz would be a highly reliable backup if deals for Frenkie de Jong and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic proved challenging.
Paul Pogba’s replacement is being sought after by Ten Hag and the Napoli star appears to be squarely on the Dutchman’s radar this summer. Ruiz is capable of playing either a deep-lying position or the traditional central midfield position. He is even capable of playing more forward in an attacking role.
The Spanish star scored seven goals and provided five assists for Napoli in 38 appearances last year. He is a player with intelligence, excellent passing skill, and amazing vision which would help United on all fronts.
Erik ten Hag has a significant rebuilding project on his shoulders, and we believe that bringing in Fabian Ruiz would be a very wise decision for the team.
