As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United has shown interest in Leeds United centre-back Robin Koch, and initial discussions have taken place regarding his potential transfer to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old is expected to depart from Leeds during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Koch, who spent his early career at several German clubs, emerged as a notable player during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt before joining the Whites three years ago.
Despite arriving with high expectations, the experienced defender has had inconsistent performances and has been prone to errors.
Nevertheless, he has been a regular presence in the Leeds United lineup, making 77 appearances over the past three years.

Man United has also joined the race to sign the German centre-back, aiming to secure his services by approaching their local rivals.
The Red Devils has expressed interest in Koch and preliminary discussions have taken place. The club’s pursuit of the player is not surprising, given the uncertainty surrounding Harry Maguire’s future at Old Trafford.
The club captain’s potential departure would create a vacancy in the defensive line, and with Phil Jones leaving as a free agent, United needs to sign a new centre-back this summer.
Kim Min-jae is their primary target, but there is competition from Bayern Munich for his signature. As a result, Koch’s name may emerge as a backup option on their shortlist.
However, United should consider the Leeds defender as an emergency plan. Due to his tendency to make errors, he is at best a backup option for the Red Devils.
Considering that Raphael Varane is approaching the later stages of his career, the club should aim to sign a higher-quality defender.
