Manchester United Intensify Chase For Bruno Fernandes

The latest reports have claimed that the Red Devils are interested in stepping up their chase for Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes in this summer transfer window to bolster their squad.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a massive job on his hands as he plans on getting the Premier League club back to the summit of English football. The 20-time league champions finished in sixth place on the Premier League table last term and that indicated that there is plenty of work that needs to be done to get United where they belong.

The Norwegian boss has already made an impact in the summer transfer window as he made a deal for winger Daniel James from Swansea City and United are also on the verge of completing a deal for defender Aaron Wan Bissaka with a £50 million move.

And now Solskjaer is targeting options to bolster his midfield and has lined up Bruno Fernandes as his next target to acquire. The saga for the talented 24-year-old midfielder sounds like it’s never ending but the red half of Manchester wants to take the initiative to sign the Portuguese midfielder.

Sources at ESPN has claimed that United have held informal meetings with Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinho. Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and even Manchester City have been linked with a move for Fernandes who scored 31 goals in 50 games last season and he is likely to cost around £65 million.
