As reported by El Nacional, Premier League teams Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Barcelona midfielder Gavi. The player has shattered records as soon as he started playing for Barcelona and Spain’s senior squad.
Gavi has been very influential since breaking into the Barcelona senior team. With Ansu Fati, Pedri and now Gavi, Barcelona is working towards a great future ahead. In times where there is a financial strain on the club, they have done a great job of developing young players from their La Masia academy.
Manchester United has already had their huge bid for Ansu Fati rejected by Barcelona.
Manchester United will be keeping a close eye on the sensational young midfielder who will be playing more regularly for the Spanish giants this season.
Although Spain failed to win the UEFA Nation’s League final, Gavi will be the star performer of the tournament for them.
This summer, 18-year-old Pedri became the youngest player to represent Spain at a major tournament.
Tonight, 17-year-old Gavi became the youngest player to represent Spain in their history.

Gavi has a £50m release clause and Barcelona is working to extend his contract. But right now, PL teams like Manchester United and Liverpool have the perfect chance to trigger his release clause if the club fails to extend his contract or if they delay the matters.
It is highly likely that Gavi will sign a contract with Barcelona as it can be seen that he has no plans to leave the club of his dreams. To any extent, United will need to pay a huge price if the player extends his stay at Camp Nou.
