According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are interested in signing Barcelona star Ansu Fati.
The Red Devils tried to sign Frenkie de Jong, but they were unsuccessful throughout the summer transfer window.
The Premier League’s juggernauts are now interested in Fati, another star from Barcelona. The 20-year-old has a €1 billion release clause in his current La Liga contract, which runs through 2027.
At Camp Nou, he is currently off his game, having made just seven league starts under manager Xavi Hernandez. Barcelona see him as a future star, but owing to their financial difficulties, they may be forced to sell. To balance the books, they will need to offload players because they still have a huge payroll.
Fati is highly regarded as one of the most gifted young players in the world. Due to his ability to play in any attacking position, he is known for his versatility.
The Spanish star has exceptional speed and dribbling ability. Even though he is only 20 years old, he has already played more than 80 senior games for the Blaugrana. If United were to sign Fati, that would be wonderful news. But we doubt Barcelona will let go of such a unique player.
Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Red Devils require a striker. Wout Weghorst signed a loan agreement with them in January, but they are unlikely to retain his services long-term.
We think United should make a major effort to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. His current Spurs contract expires in June 2024. The Tottenham Hotspurs want the England international to stay longer in north London. However, Kane is unlikely to sign a new contract given that they haven’t won any titles since 2008.
He’d be perfect for United.
