According to Calciomercato, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham are all interested in bringing Santos striker Marcos Leonardo to the Premier League.
Over the years, Santos has played a significant role in the production of certain notable talents. Due to their significant investment in developing young players, Neymar, Gabigol, and other players have become well-known. Marcos Leonardo is a rising talent in the making. And now, the Brazilian youngster has already stated that he wants to move to England, which may indicate that a transfer is about to occur.
After a spectacular season with Santos, the 19-year-old has seen his stocks raise substantially. His 11 goals in 28 league games this season have caused a few Premier League heavyweights to sit up and take note. In addition to Napoli, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham are potential rivals for the youngster’s signature. Either of those English clubs could have a strong argument on their side. Brazilian players are present in the squads of all those teams, as well as the Serie A powerhouses.
Although it may appear like the other three Premier League juggernauts are interested, Leonardo was previously linked with a move to Liverpool.
In addition to Fred, United also just signed Brazilian and Ajax superstar Antony. The Red Devils, who are thriving under Erik ten Hag, are willing to sign a dynamic teenager of Leonardo’s calibre.
Even while it may not be considered sufficient, their current playing style is enough for any Brazilian player to fit in well. The connections with Leonardo are expected to strengthen as the season moves closer to the January window. For now, the 19-year-old will aim to develop further before deciding about his future move.
