Manchester United signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer from Crystal Palace in a bid to strengthen the right-back spot for the Red Devils. The defender has done very well since joining the Red Devils and was also considered for last year’s player of the year for United. It is now being reported by ESPN that Manchester United are looking to sign a right-back in the next couple of transfer windows.
Wan-Bissaka has become one of the best defenders in the Premier League at Manchester United. But he has been heavily criticized for his defensive approach whereas his attacking side isn’t as nearly as good as his defensive side. His lack of incisiveness going forward has also cost United sometimes where teams have sat back deep and defended with men in the box.
It has been reported that Manchester United are looking to sign a right-back in the next couple of windows. The backup will be signed to ensure Wan-Bissaka improves his attacking game. The presence of Brandon Williams and Fosu-Mensah hasn’t created much pressure for Wan-Bissaka thus United need to sign someone significant.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka surely needs to level up his game going forward and it might be clever to sign another backup right-back.
