According to L’Equipe, Manchester United will have to shell out €100 million in order to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani this summer.
It is well known that the Red Devils admire the French star, and they were linked with him after the World Cup break. The German club is reportedly willing to hear proposals for him this summer, but they plan to demand a hefty fee.
Prior to the World Cup, the Bundesliga team valued him at €80 million; however, in light of his exceptional performance, they have since raised that figure to €100 million.
United is likely to acquire a star striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. They have already been linked with some quality strikers. Currently, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been a top target, but Muani may also be taken into account given his exceptional performances this season.
After moving to Eintracht for free last summer, the 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 27 appearances this season. He also performed admirably for France at the World Cup. In the dramatic final versus Argentina, he scored in the semifinal before winning a key penalty.
He was dubbed the “assist king” by the official Bundesliga website early this season, but this year he has been on a prolific scoring streak.
Muani would be a good addition to United, as he is a very versatile player. A possible tissue could be the cost of the transfer. Numerous Bundesliga stars have already struggled after moving to the Premier League.
Jadon Sancho is the best example, although there is still plenty of time for the England star to turn things around. The Red Devils may be reluctant to pay €100 million for Muani, and Eintracht will need to decrease their asking price for a move to happen.
