Manchester United looking to offload Aaron Wan Bissaka this summer

Manchester United is apparently focusing on adding a new right-back as Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future is uncertain at the club, but they must first let go of a few players.

The majority of United’s attention this summer has been on new signings, as they brought in Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez. Last year, Diogo Dalot replaced Aaron Wan-Bissaka as United’s starting right-back after a spate of subpar performances by Wan-Bissaka.

Due to his inability to live up to his £50 million price tag, Wan-Bissaka is one of the players who does not figure into Erik ten Hag’s plans. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the former Crystal Palace full-back does not fit the bill at Ten Hag’s United.

United are rumored to be competing with Chelsea for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries in the search for a new right-back. The Dutchman has won many fans in recent years, and Inter values him at £33.5 million. The Red Devils are open to recruiting a new right-back this summer, thus a transfer may be in the works.

They are even more motivated to do this now that Ethan Laird is expected to seal a loan deal with Championship team, Watford.

Six defenders have been declared available for transfer as their defence currently appears to be bloated. Wan-Bissaka is free to depart, as well as Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, and Alex Telles.
