Manchester United have had a poor start to the season in the Premier League and currently sit at the 15th position in the league table. The home form has been terrible this season, as the Red Devils haven’t won a game at home in the Premier League. In such a time of hardship, Manchester Evening News has reported that Manchester United are in talks with Mauricio Pochettino, for a managerial change.
It was already reported that the club was in talks with Pochettino even before the season began. But with a string of poor results coming in a crucial stage of the season, Solskjaer’s job might be in danger. Pochettino has also openly expressed his wish of coming back to managing a team in the Premier League.
He also said: “I am always ready to go again and be involved in the game. It’s not stress when you are working, it’s not stress going into the training round to prepare the match and to compete.”
Pochettino is one of the best managers in the world and the fact that he is out of a job doesn’t help Solskjaer’s cause.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to do something miraculous to save his job, after the poor start to the season. The Norwegian wasn’t backed in the transfer window thus at the back of his mind, the United must have known this scenario would come sooner rather than later.
