According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United might consider pursuing a move for Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
This potential interest comes as Kim Min-jae, who was previously linked to United, is now engaged in advanced talks with Bayern Munich.
While the Red Devils were once considered favourites to sign Min-jae, Bayern has emerged as the front-runner in the race for his signature.
The German giants are currently engaged in advanced talks for the Napoli defender, making it challenging for United to alter the center-back’s decision.
However, the club is still in contact with Monaco’s Axel Disasi, suggesting that he could be a potential option for the Red Devils.
Disasi, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League since his time at Reims, is reportedly keen on joining Man United.
The 25 years old has expressed his willingness for a summer transfer, making him a viable alternative if Bayern successfully secures Min-jae’s signing.

Disasi is considered to have similar defensive qualities as Kim Min-jae, although his passing accuracy in the opposition half was lower last season at 75%.
On the other hand, Ajax’s Jurrien Timber excels in progressive passing but lacks aerial presence, which may be a priority for manager Erik Ten Hag.
Monaco is reportedly willing to sell Disasi for a fee ranging from €40-50 million, and United could pay that sum, especially if Min-jae’s move to Bayern Munich materializes.
While United has not made significant progress in securing new signings this summer, they are expected to make a second bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount in the coming days.
