According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United is reportedly monitoring Moussa Diaby as a potential transfer target.
However, any potential move for Diaby will depend on the outcome of United’s ownership situation, with Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe currently competing to acquire the club.
The Bayer Leverkusen star has been in impressive form, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 47 games. This season, he has added more end product to his game, which was previously lacking.
Leverkusen has benefited from his contributions, climbing to sixth place in the Bundesliga after a difficult start. However, they were recently eliminated from the Europa League by Roma.
Several top clubs, including Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Real Madrid, have shown interest in Diaby, who has two years left on his current contract.

United, in particular, could benefit from his versatility in the attacking positions, as they have heavily relied on Marcus Rashford this season.
The team has struggled to score goals, with the lowest tally among the Premier League’s top six clubs and only Fulham scoring fewer in the top half of the table.
United is also targeting Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane as their primary centre-forward option, as Anthony Martial is expected to be offloaded due to a combination of poor form and fitness issues.
However, United co-owner Joel Glazer reportedly has different plans for Martial’s future at the club.
