As reported by Ekstra Bladet, Manchester United, along with scouts from Aston Villa and Southampton, were closely observing the performance of Brondby star Nicolai Vallys during the weekend.
The attacking midfielder, who is having an impressive second season at the Danish club, with seven goals and one assist in just 14 appearances, has garnered attention from several clubs.
United, among others, were keeping a watchful eye on him during his Sunday match, in which he scored the winning goal in the second half against Nordjylland.
Although there is interest in the player, the Danish outlet questions whether any club would be willing to make a huge financial offer for him, given that he is already 27 years old.

Bruno Fernandes is the primary choice for the number 10 role, with Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen as backup options.
While none of them have been particularly prolific in terms of scoring this season, it is unlikely that the club will actively pursue a deal for Vallys in the upcoming transfer window.
The Danish star is currently experiencing the most successful phase of his career, having scored seven goals and closing in on his best-ever scoring season with just five more to match it.
Signing him would not be a step in the right direction for United, considering his age and limited experience in top-tier leagues.
Erik ten Hag already has a squad with sufficient quality to work with, and his focus should be on getting the best out of Mount, who has yet to fully adapt since his arrival in the summer.

In recent matches, the manager has placed Fernandes on the right wing. If he continues with this approach, it would be preferable to see Mount in the playmaker role instead of being benched.
