According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are keeping a close eye on talented Serbian keeper Djordje Petrovic.
The 23-year-old Serbian player has been making waves in the MLS while representing the New England Revolution, attracting attention from various European clubs.
United is among the Premier League teams showing interest in Petrovic. However, as of now, the club has not initiated any formal contact with the player or his representatives.
The promising young keeper, is currently under contract with New England Revolution until 2025, with the option of an additional year.
His current club will demand a significant transfer fee, considering they only signed him in April of the previous year. Petrovic began his football journey with FK Cukaricki in his native Serbia and also represented the club in the Europa Conference League.

After joining the MLS club as a replacement for Matt Turner, who moved to Arsenal for £5.75 million, Petrovic has made a strong impression and is now regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the American league.
Petrovic recently became eligible for a work permit under the points system, which is advantageous for English clubs dealing with recruitment regulations.
Although he is content and settled in the United States, the 23-year-old is open to seizing an opportunity at a top club if the project aligns with his ambitions.
Man United is currently searching for a new first-choice goalkeeper, especially with David De Gea’s contract expiring this summer.
While Petrovic may not be their primary target, his arrival could provide healthy competition, particularly considering Dean Henderson’s potential departure to Nottingham Forest and Tom Heaton’s possible move for more regular playing time.
Jack Butland, who was on loan at United from Crystal Palace, has already left the club and joined Rangers.
In the previous season, Petrovic kept seven clean sheets in 21 appearances, showcasing his ability to save penalties on four occasions.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches tall, he was honoured with the MLS Save of the Year award and finished second in the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year voting, just behind Andre Blake.
In the current season, Petrovic has already recorded six clean sheets in 17 matches, contributing to New England Revolution’s third-place position in the Eastern Conference.
