According to the latest reports, Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is keen on leaving the Santiago Bernabeu in the upcoming January transfer window and Premier League giants Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on the Welsh forward.
The Red Devils have had their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign as they sit in 10th place on the Premier League table after 11 games winning three and losing four so far. The football has not been great under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it seems as if the Norwegian could get sacked if results don’t improve in the near future.
The United transfer board came under heavy scrutiny this season when they decided to offload big-name forwards Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan without getting a replacement.
Solskjaer now has only two options to lead his front line in the form of youngsters Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial while 17-year-old Mason Greenwood could be called upon on certain occasions. The 46-year-old indicated that United would look to purchase a star forward in the January transfer window and there is a massive chance that Gareth Bale could return to the Premier League.
Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2013 and tasted plenty of success with the La Liga giants but the 30-year-old is now out of favor with French boss Zinedine Zidane. With a lack of trust and respect from the Los Blancos, Bale is set to depart the Spanish capital in the January transfer window and United are prepared to bring him to Old Trafford.
With the lack of attacking options, Bale could be a great outlet for Manchester United and given that he has the experience of playing in the Premier League, he can actually add some much-needed experience and goals for the red half of Manchester.
