Manchester United are suggested to be open to challenge rivals across the land for Delcan Rice’s signature next summer with the West Ham United man eyed up by Liverpool and Chelsea as well.
The 22-year-old England international defensive midfielder emerged as one of the hot prospects in this summer’s transfer window with Chelsea being backed the frontrunners to sign him from The Hammers.
Rice has stayed put at the London Stadium beyond this summer but reports have indicated that the midfield man will be seeking a move away from West Ham next summer to sign for his suitors in the transfer market.
Reports from ESPN claim that Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskajer, having put off the need to sign a midfielder this summer, will be keen on making a move for Rice with a majority of the club’s fanbase demanding reinforcements in the centre of the park.
Signing the Englishman is surely not going to be a cheap deal for the Red Devils with Rice, who is contracted to West Ham until 2024, speculated to carry a price tag north of £80 million.
