According to Turkish journalist Murat Zorlu, Manchester United have presented a £2.5 million offer for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
This development adds another element to the evolving transfer plans at Old Trafford, especially concerning the goalkeeping position, which has been subject to frequent changes.
United have made it clear that they are in search of a new goalkeeper to serve as a long-term replacement for David de Gea ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 season.
As negotiations with Inter Milan for Andre Onana continue to face obstacles, the Red Devils are reportedly considering alternative options.

According to reporter Zorlu from Sports Digitale, United have made a surprise move for 25-year-old goalkeeper Bayindir, who featured in 26 matches for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
Bayindir, who joined Fenerbahce from Ankaragucu and has made over 100 appearances for the club, is highly regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the Super Lig.
However, it is unlikely that he would arrive at Old Trafford as the first-choice goalkeeper. Despite recently signing a long-term contract with Fenerbahce, United may face challenges in their pursuit of Bayindir this summer.
Manager Erik ten Hag is still awaiting clarity on the future of David de Gea, who is now officially a free agent after his contract expired.
Ongoing negotiations between Man United and Inter Milan for the signing of Onana are progressing well, but the Champions League finalists are holding out for a price exceeding £50 million to consider a sale.
Currently, United are only willing to offer approximately £35 million with additional add-ons, which falls significantly below Inter’s desired amount.
As a result, United have begun exploring more cost-effective alternatives, including Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow. The Red Devils have already made contact with the Dutch champions, but Onana remains their top priority.
