Manchester United have had a bitter end to their season, with a defeat in the semi-final of the Europa League. Sevilla came out victorious because of their experience of playing big games even though the Red Devils dominated the proceedings. With 15 players featuring for the Red Devils throughout the game, let us have a look at the ManUnited Core player ratings.
David De Gea – 6
The Spanish goalkeeper had little to do throughout the game, as Sevilla created very little. He could not have saved both the goals, as they came from defensive errors.
Harry Maguire – 5
The Manchester United captain had a good game, but because of the wrong defensive positioning from others, Maguire is to be blamed. The centre-back should have organized his defensive line better and could have cleared the ball in the first goal.
Victor Lindelof – 4
Victor Lindelof was to blame for the second goal that Sevilla scored, which saw De Jong have a free header in front of goal. Lindelof has been found out time and again for his poor physicality and lack of aerial prowess.
Aaron Wan Bisakka – 4
The Englishman provided very little going forward and doesn’t seem to have an offensive side to him. Wan Bisakka didn’t track the run, which led to the cross from which Suso scored Sevilla’s first goal.
Brandon Williams – 3
Brandon Williams was the worst player on the pitch as he had a hand in conceding both the goals. The young full-back looked tired and was constantly dribbled past with most of Sevilla’s chances from their right flank.
Fred – 6
Fred had an average game and helped United keep the ball and kept the ball ticking. His energy in the midfield made sure the Red Devils dominated the game.
Paul Pogba – 7

Bruno Fernandes – 7
The Portuguese midfielder scored the only United goal and stands as the top-scorer in the Europa League this season. Fernandes create loads of chances which were ultimately squandered by United.
Marcus Rashford – 4
Marcus Rashford had an awful game after the knock he got, giving United the penalty through which Fernandes scored. The Englishman didn’t move well and missed a huge chance to take United ahead just before half-time
Mason Greenwood – 6
The youngster didn’t have any clear-cut chance and failed to produce anything great. Wasn’t helped by Wan Bisakka on the flank, and had an average game.
Anthony Martial – 5
Martial held the ball well and provided the pass to Rashford that led to the penalty kick. But the Frenchman was poor in front of goal and missed as many as three one-on-one sitters as United failed to score again.

Juan Mata – 5
Mata had only ten minutes to create an impression on the game but did little other than providing one cross, which was too deep.
