Manchester United Player Ratings Vs Manchester City

The Red Devils came away from the Etihad Stadium with all three points after a sensational 2-1 win in the Manchester derby.

David De Gea-8

The Spaniard’s handling was steady once again and he made a terrific save from Rodri’s second-half strike amid as he kept his team in the game amid Manchester City’s attacking pressure.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka -8

The English right-back coped superbly with Raheem Sterling and was eager to express himself further forward on the pitch. Was arguably his best performance for the team in a Manchester United jersey yet.

Harry Maguire-7

Managed the defensive side of the game extremely well as the captain and played a no-nonsense game at times to ensure that United came away with three points.

 Victor Lindelof-8

His best week of the season with Manchester United as he played a vital role in the heart of the backline. As Maguire played the battering ram, Lindelof brought a strange sense of composure to help instigate attacks. Made a great block from Kevin de Bruyne at a crucial junction in the game.

Luke Shaw- 6

The English left-back was a risky pick on his first league start in 15 weeks and Bernardo Silva got past him quite easily at times as City targeted him in that zone. Although he was caught out on certain occasions, Shaw was resolute for most of the game.

Scott McTominay -7

The Scotsman was Disciplined in front of the back four and that allowed Fred off the leash to supplement the attacking players. His heart and gamesmanship in the center of the park frustrated Manchester City for most of the match.

Fred- 9

The best performance from the Brazilian midfielder in a Manchester United jersey. Flourished at the Etihad with and controlled the midfield keeping his team ticking throughout the ninety minutes.

Jesse Lingard- 7

The Englishman has a knack of constantly finding space and his used of the ball positively for most of the game. Due to his positioning in the free role, he was able to create problems for the Manchester City defense

Daniel James- 8

The young winger was all over Angelino on the right-hand side of the field. Pep Guardiola’s defense could not keep up with his blistering pace as he set up Anthony Martial for the Frenchman’s goal.

Marcus Rashford -9

Won the penalty and converted it to give the traveling fans plenty to cheer for. The English forward was unplayable at times when he was on the wings and running at City’s backline.

Anthony Martial -8

Scored the second goal for United which gave Solskjaer’s team some breathing space. Looked sharp and was in the mood to add to his tally but quite a thorn in City’s backline due to his quality.
