Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United recorded a convincing 3-0 victory against Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford to cruise into the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Sergio Romero- 6
The Argentine goalkeeper had next to nothing to do amid the one-way traffic and kept another clean sheet as he was given an opportunity in the competition.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka- 6
The English right-back was much more proactive going forward and delivered some great crosses that Marcus Rashford should have converted. A big improvement from his performance on Saturday against Bournemouth.
Harry Maguire- 6
The world’s most expensive defender suffered a rash moment early on in the game but was otherwise quite secure and composed as United recorded a fourth clean sheet in their four Europa League games.
Marcos Rojo- 7
The Argentine center back has earned himself a place in Solskjaer’s midweek matches and that consistency resulted in another decent performance alongside his partner Maguire.
Ashley Young- 7
The English wing back did not have much to do due to his suspension on Sunday against Brighton he enjoyed a comfortable evening and also notched up and assist for Rashford’s goal.
Scott McTominay- 6
The Scottish midfielder always looked for the forward pass and that occasionally led to him handing over possession to the opponents but it often set the tempo for United’s attacks as well.
Fred- 6
The Brazilian’s partnership with McTominay in midfield was back on form against obliging opponents but he still lacked a bit of bravery at times and made the odd silly pass.
Juan Mata- 7
The Spanish playmaker’s best performance of the season by far as he linked up productively with his fellow attackers and should have got a goal himself.
Mason Greenwood- 8
The teenage forward made it three goals in four starts with an opportunistic finish. Giving his manager a timely reminder that he is yet to start a league match this term.
Marcus Rashford- 8
The English forward’s movement and collaborations with teammates were telepathic but missed a few chances in the first half. However, he made up for his misses in the second half with a well-taken finish.
Anthony Martial- 8
The French forward took his fifth goal of the season superbly and should have doubled his tally but lofted the ball over the bar. United look a lot more threatening with him in the team.
