As stated by the club’s official Twitter handle, Manchester United’s squad has arrived in New York for their pre-season tour of the United States.
The Red Devils secured a 1-0 win in a friendly match against Lyon in Edinburgh, with Donny van de Beek, who had been overlooked, sealing the victory with an impressive second-half volley.
Additionally, Jonny Evans, who recently signed a short-term deal with the club, made his second debut for United in the same match.
Following the game, the players travelled directly to Edinburgh to catch a flight to the US, where they are scheduled to play four more pre-season matches before the end of the month.
However, Evans was not present with the squad, as he has been moved over to the academy squad. Evans recently rejoined United, eight years after leaving the club, and will now be with the academy group in San Diego during the pre-season tour.

However, Brazilian midfielder Fred did not join the team on the flight to the United States as he was left behind due to a “personal issue.”
While waiting for take-off from Scotland, several stars, including Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Lisandro Martinez, took group photos on the plane.
Former captain Harry Maguire appeared in good spirits as he boarded the plane for the pre-season tour amid future issues. He was accompanied by his international teammate, Mason Mount, who later posed for a photo with goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
Henderson is another player linked with a potential move away this summer, with Nottingham Forest showing interest in re-signing him.
Young talents Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo were also pictured boarding the flight, aiming to impress manager Erik ten Hag and secure spots in the first-team plans for the upcoming season.

The squad could soon be joined by another player, with Andre Onana closing in on completing his £43 million transfer from Inter Milan.
United have a packed schedule in the US, facing Premier League rivals Arsenal, followed by matches against Wrexham, Real Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund.
