Manchester United prefer a permanent deal for Jesse Lingard

As Newcastle United is highly interested in signing Jesse Lingard this summer, Manchester United has made it clear that they will not let them have Jesse Lingard if they offer a cheap loan deal.

Jesse Lingard won’t consider a permanent move to Newcastle United in the middle of the season as per Fabrizio Romano but the club still wants to make an attempt to get him on loan until June.

As reported by The Athletic, the biggest confusion that is taking place in this deal is that Manchester United is not satisfied with a loan deal and wants to allow their player to leave permanently for the right price.

Jesse Lingard’s future at Old Trafford is hanging by the thread and the player wants to play regularly in order to book a place in the England squad ahead of the World Cup.

He has hardly had some minutes to play this season under Ralf Rangnick. He has managed to play only 88 minutes of football this season and all of those have come from the bench. He has played only nine games and his chances to play more are decreasing even further as Rangnick has been reluctant to change his starting XI.

As of now, Newcastle United had made a first official bid for Lingard but that was rejected by Manchester United. A second bid is on the cards and it seems that Newcastle United is not going to back off so easily.

Tottenham Hotsuper is also interested in a deal but United will not let their top-four rivals strengthen themselves at this point in time.

Eddie Howe is planning to build a solid team under the backing of their new Saudi owner. They have brought in Kieran Trippier who is a good friend of Jesse Lingard. They have also signed Chris Wood this summer and are also aiming to bring in Diego Carlos from Sevilla.

Whether the move will happen this January or the next summer is highly unpredictable but we are sure of one thing and that is, Jesse Lingard will not stay much longer at Manchester United.
