As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are actively preparing an offer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The Bundesliga club are reportedly concerned about the possibility of an approach from United during the final month-and-a-half of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are in desperate need of signing a striker this summer, with Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen being among the top targets for manager Erik ten Hag. However, both players have been considered too expensive for United’s limited budget.
Ten Hag has already spent over £100 million on deals for Mason Mount and Andre Onana. The focus now shifts to selling unwanted players to raise additional funds for new signings.
Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund is the primary striker target for United, but the Serie A side’s manager is hoping for a fee of up to £86.5 million for the young Danish star.

In recent months, Kolo Muani has been linked with a potential move to United. A deal between the two parties could still be a possibility.
According to the report, Eintracht Frankfurt are apprehensive about the potential interest from United. While they are comfortable that Paris Saint-Germain won’t pursue the French forward, they are less confident about United’s intentions.
The Red Devils are reportedly preparing an offer for the player, although it hasn’t been officially presented yet.
The report indicates that Kolo Muani would likely be open to the move, as there hasn’t been much interest from other clubs.
The striker had an impressive season with Frankfurt, scoring 23 goals across all competitions. He was also part of the France squad that reached the World Cup final but lost to Argentina in Qatar.
During the final of the World Cup, the 24 years old had a golden opportunity to secure victory for his country, but he was denied by Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez in a one-on-one situation during extra time.
Kolo Muani joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Nantes on a free transfer last summer and is currently under contract with the German club for another four years.

United are determined to sign a striker before the transfer window closes on September 1. Their priority target at the moment is Hojlund, and they are actively pursuing that deal first.
However, if Hojlund is considered too expensive, Kolo Muani could become the next option on their list.
Frankfurt may face challenges in keeping hold of Kolo Muani if United decides to make a move for him, given the player’s impressive performance and goal-scoring record.
