Manchester United prioritising contract talks of two key first-team players

Manchester United is currently involved in key negotiations as they aim to extend the contracts of two important first-team players.

Throughout the month of January, United will put a lot of effort into convincing Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot to extend their stay at Old Trafford. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Red Devils are actively involved in contract negotiations this month.

After the World Cup, several United players who were scheduled to have their contracts expire in the summer received one-year extensions. However, the club has yet to extend Dalot and Rashford’s contracts.

Both of the star players have been performing at the highest level for the club. Rashford has continued to create mayhem by scoring goals in successive matches. The English attacker scored his 13th goal of the season against Everton. Meanwhile, Dalot has been a mainstay in Ten Hag’s starting XI.

The Portuguese right-back has started in the majority of the games this season, and he continues to win hearts with his effortless defensive contributions.

The Red Devils are also aiming to secure David de Gea’s future at the club. The Spaniard has yet to sign a new contract but has revealed that he wants to finish his career at United.

Meanwhile, Rashford and Dalot look relaxed about their contract situations as the club is trying to complete the process as soon as possible.
