Paul Pogba’s highly uncertain long-term future in the Manchester United colours could be coming to a close as recent reports from the Daily Mail suggest that the Old Trafford outfit will relent to parting ways with the France international come next summer.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2020-21 Premier League season and heading to the January transfer window at the turn of the year, sit joint top in the league standings alongside arch-rivals Liverpool.
Pogba has been somewhat of a first-team regular for Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side, with the Frenchman playing a pivotal part during United’s latest outing in league action, a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
However, as the saga around the former Juventus man’s future at Old Trafford continues to do the rounds in light of strong interest shown in the World Cup-winning midfielder by the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Real Madrid, reports indicate Manchester United’s growing willingness to offload the 27-year-old in this year’s summer transfer window.
United have plenty of midfield options at their first-team disposal, Holland international Donny van de Beek being the latest of the recruits to arrive at Old Trafford last summer, giving boss Solskjaer alternative options to draft should Pogba’s uncertain time ahead in the United shirt ends in July 2021.
