With the arrival of Jadon Sancho, Manchester United is ready to sanction some sales and Anthony Martial is the first name on the list. As reported by Daily Star, United is ready to sell Martial for £50m and Tottenham is highly interested in this deal.
Anthony Martial suffered an injury against Kazakhstan on the 28th of March and was unable to continue for France. This Injury proved to be a damaging one for the Frenchman as he was unable to return back on time and missed the remainder of last season.
He missed out on both, the Europa League finals and the Euros. He was pictured training at the Carrington base but things are not looking so easy for him.
Under his absence, Edinson Cavani has performed brilliantly for Manchester United. In 39 appearances for the club. he has scored 17 goals and provided six assists. He was outstanding in the Europa League and scored a brace in both legs against Roma in the Europa League sem-final encounter.
This has delt more damage to Martials’ chances of playing regularly for the club. Man United will be aiming to play Cavani regularly. Reports have now claimed that Man United is ready to sell Anthony Martial for £50m. Tottenham is desperate to land a good backup for Harry Kane.
Even Real Madrid had been offered the chance to sign Martial but it looks like they have turned down the chance to sign the striker. Tottenham may ask United to lower the price and look to sign him for cheap.
